Learn to Dance Ceilidh
Ceilidh Band Members:
The main members of the band are:
Pete Clark - fiddle. Pete is well known as a solo fiddler,
his debut CD 'Fiddlecase' was chosen as one of 1996's albums of the year on BBC
Scotland's 'Travelling Folk'. He has a number solo CDs, as well appearing on
a number of folk and ceilidh band CDs. He has been a member and performed with
several bands including The Benachally Ceilidh Band, Heritage, Smeddum and the Dougie MacLean Band.
Pete also taught for many years at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Gregor Lowrey - accordion. Gregor has worked with many bands
including: Blackeyed Biddy, Cantychiels, Clan Terra, Ceilidh Minogue and
Rusty Nail. Gregor played with the Scottish Show Shehallion that opened the new
Clyde Auditorium and has toured all over from Azerbaijan to Ecclefechan.
Gregor is also a master at fly tying and helps run the amazing
Dalavich Shop & Wild Rowan
Jim Leighton - piano. Jim is a founder member of The Loose Moose
and Benachally Ceilidh Bands. He
played accordion with the An Teallach Ceilidh Band as well as playing piano in numerous Scottish
Dance Bands and Ceilidh Bands such as John Ellis and his Highland Country Band and Alan Doig Scottish Dance Band. Jim
also plays accordion and has over 40 years experience of playing for weddings, ceilidhs, corporate
functions, etc. Jim is the owner of
